Introduction
This accessibility statement applies to the website hosted under the tour.aquinas.ac.uk domain name but not websites within subdomains or other websites associated with Aquinas College. At Aquinas College we want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
- zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
- navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
- make use of text captions on all video content
We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

Aquinas College is committed to making the virtual tour website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.
- Some of the third party Iframes may not be fully accessible
Non-accessible content
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
- Some of the icons placed over the virtual tour photographs may have poor contrast. People with low vision often have difficulty finding the icons if there is not suffucient contrast with the background image.
- An input form used on the virtual tour Iframe does not have an appropiate label. This might be confusing to screen readers.
Disproportionate burden
We are not making any disproportionate burden claims.
Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
This virtual tour provies a visual guide to the college so people can get a feel for the building without being on the premises. No essential information is provided on this website. Essential information about the college is provided on the main website in an accessible format.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
We will monitor the accessibility of the third party iframes and maybe consider using a different platform if a more accessible and affordable solution is found.
